JOSEF GAULT
Thursday AM Folk, Thursdays from 10:00am-Noon (alternates hosting with
Chris Grant), on KMUN and KTCB.
Josef, "The Wild Hungarian," is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He
graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a major in industrial
arts and a minor in music. He has enjoyed two successful careers, first
as a hemodialysis technician and then as a general contractor, but
since 1994 he has devoted himself to music. His flamenco-styled guitar
artistry has been inspired by such luminaries as Manitas de Plata and
Sabicas.
Josef has been hosting the "All Kinds of Folk" radio program
on KMUN and KTCB since 2003. He is also the Technical Production Manager at
Clatsop Community College. Additionally, he fronts the acclaimed bluegrass band
Saddle Mountain Station as the lead singer.
