Walking Astoria with an eye to moving here, Tom entered shop after shop along Commercial, Duane
and Marine, trying to get a feel for the place, and kept hearing this eclectic music being played on the
shop radios. KMUN, they said it was, and it's one of the reasons Tom decided to move here. He's
been with the stations since 2005.
Engineering: Terry Wilson
Terry grew up in Long Beach and Ilwaco, Washington, then spent seven years in the US Coast
Guard as an electronics technician, followed by four years in Navy Aviation as RADAR operator.
He has much radio and some television broadcasting experience: with KLSN and KXA in Seattle
as a classical DJ; with KGHO in Hoquiam as program director and DJ; and many other stations in
the Northwest, adorned with titles like Transmitter Engineer, Audio Engineer, and Assistant News
and Sports Director.
Terry returned to his native coastal stomping grounds in 2000 with his wife of 29 years, Barbara,
and joined Coast Community Radio in 2002.

Joanne's long relationship with the station includes News Anchor and Reporter, Program
producer and host of the popular Columbia River Ship Report. Joining Coast Community Radio
from her position as Reporter with the Coast River Business Journal, Joanne is dedicated to
covering the issues and sharing the stories of our region.
